In addition to offering coffee from a wide variety of Costa Rica's family farms, Organikos also offers other types of "taste of place" products: honeys from a dozen different ecosystems; chocolates from various cacao-growing regions; jams and marmelades made from the country's abundant fruits. These products are carried in the Authentica shops in Costa Rica and are more logistically difficult than coffee to offer in the USA. During the seven years our family spent living in Kerala, India turmeric was an ingredient in many dinner-time dishes but we also learned to enjoy it in an immunity-boosting drink. When we returned home to Costa Rica after those years in India we were happy to discover that turmeric was now growing here in abundance. One organic farm became our favorite source, and now we offer a simple mix that will allow you to try it as well:

It is naturally caffeine-free and has a distinctive golden color due to turmeric’s curcumin content. In India the drink is referred to as golden milk. It can be made with dairy or any other type of milk (oat, soy, almond, etc.) and can be sweetened with honey, maple syrup, or sugar. For additional texture it can be frothed to create a creamy, latte-like drink hot or cold.
